INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pkgs. yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water
- 1-1/2 cup milk
- 3 T sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4-1/2 to 5 cup flour
DIRECTIONS:
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
- Put milk, sugar, salt and 1/2 of the butter in a saucepan and heat until lukewarm.
- Add yeast and flour.
- Cover and place in warm place for 15 minutes.
- Turn out on floured board and pat to 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut with biscuit cutter.
- Brush with reserved butter and fold over.
- Let rise on baking sheet in warm place for 15 minutes.
- Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes or until nicely browned.
YIELD: Makes two dozen rolls
