Totem Poles

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 env. instant onion soup mix or one chopped onion
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 16 oz. refrigerator crescent rolls (2 pkgs.)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • melted butter

 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Brown ground beef, drain grease.
  2. Stir in onion, oregano, garlic salt, and catsup.
  3. Let mixture cool.
  4. Separate crescent rolls into eight rectangles.
  5. Seal perforations.
  6. Divide cooled hamburger mixture and place on long side of each rectangle.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Roll up lengthwise (like a jelly roll).
  9. Seal ends tightly.
  10. Brush tops with melted butter.
  11. Place rolls on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 8 rolls.
